Whipple Point, a guiding light for care.
At Whipple Point, LLC, our philosophy is rooted in a simple yet profound objective: to enhance the dignity and quality of life for each individual under our care, empowering them to reach their full potential. We believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that goes beyond conventional care. Our commitment is reflected in the following principles:
Individual Empowerment-Social and Educational Opportunities-Collaborative Independence-Holistic Development
In essence, our philosophy revolves around creating an environment where each individual is not just a recipient of care but an active participant in their own journey of growth and fulfillment. Through dedication, encouragement, and a family-like community, we believe in unlocking the potential within each person we have the privilege to serve.
Our services are designed to support the following types of disabilities:
Brain Injury: This category encompasses acquired neurological injuries to the brain, excluding degenerative diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Huntington's chorea, ataxia, or cancer. It does, however, include conditions resulting from cerebral vascular accidents.
Persons with Mental & Physical Disabilities - Other Conditions: This category refers to severe and chronic disabilities meeting specific criteria: (1) The condition, such as cerebral palsy or epilepsy, is not related to mental illness but is closely associated with mental retardation due to its impact on general intellectual functioning or adaptive behavior. (2) The condition manifests before the individual turns 22 and is likely to persist indefinitely. (3) It leads to significant functional limitations in three or more areas of major life activity, including self-care, language, learning, mobility, self-direction, and capacity for independent living.
