At Whipple Point, Mentors empower individuals to achieve independence through personalized care, community engagement, and supportive plans. As an Entry Mentor, you'll start by building key skills in client care, documentation, and daily routines. As you progress through our structured pathway, your responsibilities will grow:
- Entry Mentor ($15/hr, 45-day probation): Develops skills in care and routine tasks with supervision.
- Junior Mentor ($16.50/hr +): Works independently, assists peers, and maintains standards after completing probation.
- Senior Mentor ($18.50/hr +): Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and ensuring team success.
- Mentor Director ($20/hr +): Oversee a team’s performance, focusing on training, compliance, and development.
- Executive Mentor ($25/hr + profit share): Shape strategy, manage multiple homes, and develop team policies.
- Program Owner (Earnings based on program size): We support your ultimate goal of running your own program. With guidance from our leadership, you'll have the tools and mentorship to take ownership of your own disability care program.
Accelerated Path for Experienced Applicants
For applicants with at least 2 years of direct care experience or RBT certification.
- Starting Rate: $16.50/hr with a 45-day probationary period.
- During the probation, performance will be evaluated to determine placement.
- Placement Outcomes:
- Junior Mentor: If requirements for the Junior level are met, the applicant will remain at the Junior Mentor level at $16.50/hr.
- Senior Mentor: If performance meets Senior Mentor standards, the applicant will be promoted to the Senior level and receive an increase to $18.50/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Care: Assist clients with daily tasks, personal care, and ensure their safety.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Client Engagement: Build meaningful rapport with clients through consistent, empathetic interactions, fostering trust and connection.
- Activity Planning: Create and participate in activities that engage clients, tailored to their personal goals and interests.
- Fostering Independence: Support clients in achieving independence through personalized support plans.
- Clean Environment: Maintain a safe, organized, and clean environment.
